Fishn' 12-24-09

I've been slacking on my fishin blog lately so I decided to go back in time and pull these out of the archives. Yetti Paw, Mike Noh and I all headed out on the early morning of Christmas eve. I was able to catch this epic moment just after Yetti had falln' into the river and got his waders full of cold ass water.

I caught the biggest Trout of my career on that day. Something like 21" and almost 4lbs.
She was a monster and full of roe. Mike likes roe. He eats the shit. I wanna fish with it.

Mini Salmon pretty much.

Top things I like to do in the back of my truck bed:
1. Shoot guns out of it.
2. Gut monster Trouts
3. Carry motorcycles.

Boneless Fillets..... suited for a king.

Snowed In? Nah.. not really.

It's fun driving the ol' green machine in the snow. (2-13-10, 6am)
I'm thankful that I have the right vehicle this year considering all the freeking snow we've had.

Headed to the ol' spot by my lonesome and - let me tell you - it was beautiful.
I was glad to be there even though it was freezing cold.

There were no signs of human foot prints in the area but I did find some animal tracks.
It seemed like the ol' river otters that I've seen during the summer were out playing in the snow.
The tracks reveal that they would walk around and then slide across the snow at times.
I'm glad that they can have a time to themselves and joyfully play in the snow.

The Trout weren't very active on this freezing cold day. The water temp was just too cold to feed. I did end up pulling this lil lady out of the water using my secrete stash of sacred bait and hooks.
I really really really should have just put her back. I need to start getting used to putting smaller trouts back into the wild. It's one thing if they're native trout, but this one was just too small - not to mention that when i gutted her, she was full of roe.

My net is pretty tech. Thanks Mike.

The views were just breath taking. I spend a lot of the summer weekends up here with my fiance' and my dog Gummo. It was nice to see it during the winter.

At the waterfall. If you come fishing with me you know this spot and can imagine the beauty.
