Got some time to fish this weekend.

10/03/09 - 6:00am heading out.
It's nice to wake up early, take the dog for a walk, start up the ol' diesel and head out.
I almost ALWAYS keep my radio station tuned to the local country music station when I'm riding in my truck. I don't blast it or anything, i just usually keep it as noise in the background. However, when "People are Crazy" by Billy Currington came on.. I blasted it and sang out loud.

I got out of my truck and looked in front of my rear wheel and noticed I ran over a baby turtle. Bummmer......

As the sun came up over the mountains, I saw some elk grazing in a field next to the road.

The river was nice. SUPER CLEAR this time.

Being at the river early in the morning is nice. Especially when you know your gonna slay some ol' trout.

Caught one first cast. He was kinda small but I kept him anyway.

I didn't have anyone to hold my stringer up while I took a photo, so i tied it up to a post.

LBL possy. "Limit Before Lunch".
I can only take 7 home with me so, once I catch my limit I usually leave. We need more LBL possy members so we can take more trout home.

10:43am: Fish with no guts, everything's packed up and I'm headed back to Asheville. This time the suns out. Damn.. it was a good day. Time to chill with the girl. She'll probably wanna go to the dog park.

So we head out to the dog park with my girl and my dog "Gummo". There's a small pond there so of course, I brought my rod and reel. I didn't bring my vest or my net, just a small 1/8 Panther Martin spinner (yellow with red dots) and my hemostats. Look what I pulled out. Large Mouth Bass ~!
Fishing is fun.
